Hello friends, I have been without writing anything, and think not that I've had issues, if not the opposite, what happens is that they wanted to take center stage in the campaign fundraising of this marathon. If the race but we have made, and the video too, and good I can say about a city that has been ideally from the first to the last person we encountered, a city that lives the Marathon from within, that is involved in it and the race does not bother anyone for any of its streets, that does not let even one of the important places, and has a massive participation.
If the organization also honors this attitude, the result is that we bring a great memory of that race and this weekend ...
I want to thank first to all who helped with this project, the Foundation San Joan de Deu, Associations Catalan and Valencian Rett Syndrome, the Gran Hotel Havana , the manager of Ofimaquinas.com, the group Reggae Microguagua to Merce, Estela, Sergio Saez, Helen, to all who in one way or another have supported us, my family we still race after race, the camera of this video, but I was 42 kilometers short made with the help of my good friend Jose, flew him around the city .... 10 K VALENCIA 2009

Exactly one year ago to organize the first edition of 10K Valencia. A test that will remember all my life, because in the collection of the numbers we were delivered by members of BLUE LINE, the car that bears Mary at the races. A special car designed to run and where it is comfortable. Until then ran to the carriage of "street" that enables us to do SS and miles with him was much more expensive. Many memories, how many races we have done together, but each time I feel like Maria in the car I think I shall never tire of saying thanks to the team Blue line
Next Sunday we will take the start, and I hope everyone in the goal ...

SAN SILVESTRE VALENCIA 2009

A year and this is the third witness to the most popular race of the city crowded with the mind set when we went for the first time Mary and I to the test, back in 2007.
It has been three years that we have traveled many miles, many experiences, new car running thanks to the friends of the Blue Line, and a special claim, the law of dependence. A law for over three years that is approved but not implemented, and most importantly, "nothing happens"
I can not imagine what would happen if any other legislation, it did the same, sure would be inconceivable, but when it comes to the disabled population, anything goes.
Worse, in my opinion, are much to blame those who did not apply, as those who do nothing to apply ...
Hopefully soon change this situation and can wear a shirt to put on big ... THANK YOU FOR APPLYING THE LAW TO ALL ...

A VERY SPECIAL DAY ....

There is a test where you can only participate if you have what great runner. This test is known as Marathon Espadan. It has legendary marathon distance while leaving very hilly, mountainous and great difficulties, and is not suitable for people of little experience. Well, today was held this test with a time not very appropriate, but with a condition of participating unbeatable. There, I met a person called Victor, and not only has made the race in a while enviable, but it has done with a very special shirt. A shirt that one day he decided to label the sake of the fight against Rett syndrome, with special dedication to Mary.

One day I received by post this photo, and I could not get excited, as it should be large the heart of Victor to be able to do something, to do any testing with that shirt, and I assure you not at proper time show it off.

As I can express what I felt when in the distance I could see it coming, muddy wet, I could not contain my excitement, I shouted that are large
! Victor that great you are

There are little things you can not ever forget ...

Also, and though less cold and less miles, I have to applaud another gesture that tube place in the "volta to peu Benimamet" with a girl who wore another shirt with mention to the same cause, and with the phrase "the car Do not stop shooting "performed all of the race, and especially devoted to Mary.
More and more people to anonymously support us in spreading the disease, and give us encouragement to continue "pulling the cart" and that little by little one day we can beat the Rett Syndrome ...

Hello friends, sometimes the most important things are not the largest nor the most striking, even the most expensive. Last Sunday's half marathon was held in Valencia, with record participation, with a splendid day, and unfortunately we were unable to participate Mary and I, because of her health problems. Last week I contracted a virus of those, I have left it a little lie still, and not consider it appropriate to participate in case you could fall.
As well, an anonymous person, I realize what you will see, and I can not describe, I can just copy verbatim what the evening I received my mail, reads:

Good afternoon Josele
This morning I ran the Half Marathon of Valencia and I have taken the liberty to get me this shirt. It may seem silly, but I was excited brindaros this small tribute.
My intention was to approach the VIP grandstand and give it to you, but the organization has not left me to go through the pile of people there.
That blue car keep running even when not involved!

Maria makes the half marathon Petrer

Last year, the environmental organization Petrer Marathon, tube great detail with us, we not only welcome at the event, but that also we were assigned the number 1. Well, this year, we were invited to the race, as was the speak second year we participated, we were assigned the number 2 back.
This act along with the tremendous reception and hospitality we received make this test one of the most important calendar year, and from here I recommend to anyone who wants to have a good day and enjoy a demanding career.
As for the chronic test, well, since we are one in the family but it costs us a little more time to move everyone, and that was the reason we came to the race just in time more than ever, to the point that was reaching the end of the peloton of participants, and turn out, not if it was coincidence or that the organization was waiting for us.
The test discoursed by the usual circuit, counting on the flats, has few, always uphill or down, which makes the miles pass quickly. When we realized we had already done three laps and we entered goal.
Most important was the recognition that over the years we receive, besides the company of friends who live in the area, and not lose this opportunity to be together.
Over time, I think the important thing is that Mary and I realizemos either test, or so kilometers, more or less hard, if not her, since her car is transmitting.
Today Rett Syndrome is a little less unknown.

BECOME A PETRER

Hear what Maria?

Hello friends, I write these lines after reading the mail that we received from John, a member of the organization of the Half Marathon of Petrer (Alicante).
Write to us inviting us to participate in this edition of the race, making us the honor to assign to the dorsal number 2, as is the second year around. For us it is very gratifying that we are not only welcome to proof, but it year after year, we are invited.
This year we will have some changes that make us better carry over the miles, as is the new car thanks to Blue Line sports team, Maria will make rather more comfortable, and incidentally to me to push costs less. You luciremos luggage through the Valencian Association Rett Syndrome. What I hope does not change, is the great reception we have in this city, and above all the friendliness of our small family Romero, who live there.
We are eager to perform that will be our first race this season. See you next day in Petrel October 18 ...

For days I have not written anything, but after being on vacation and enjoy a few days on the beach, I think now is the time. We were in Xilxes, in a very quiet beach, where Maria was able to enjoy long periods in the water, at the mercy of the waves that had. This zone is perfectly entitled to go with the disabled, and brings together many conditions for a few days off from the daily grind.
Soon begin to realize our particular campaign claiming enforcement of dependence, which has passed since November 2006, and still do not know anyone that perceiving anything from this law in Valencia
We keep you informed, because it sure is not easy.

LAW OF DEPENDENCE

Hi, as you all know some years ago passed a law that many need, and that is full of good intentions but few results. Here in Valencia, that Maria is a beneficiary of that law, fill the application in June 2008, and well, I can say that a year ago, and we have nothing or almost nothing.
This year has past, we have been visited by a social worker from the Department of Social Welfare, I make a favorable report, a visit from a social worker by the City, he described Mary as Great Dependent, and referred the report back to the Department of Social Welfare, where within three months should have issued a valuation report, to continue with an endless process.
Well, dated March 23, 2009 came the report of the Town Hall offices, and this is the date from Conselleria not know anything, or whether the three months that they are established, I have jumped.
What else we have to wait? if the time that the administration is created, already in itself excessive, they are popping themselves .... I can say ....
Maria has a disability of 87% and needs attention every day and every night but it seems that they have to apply the law, all they can delay. We know that after this procedure will be others that will surely like this, so maybe, and hopefully after a couple of years or three of your request, we began to see light at the end the tunnel.
Best of all this is that the media are the politicians saying how good they are and what help this group of people that they live a life that does not deserve anyone and we already have enough of ours to us to share in an administrative delay not deserve.

Vitoria-Gasteiz MARATHON 2009

Here's the video of Vitoria Marathon, a race he would recommend to anyone who likes good food, and run from a multitude of "aupas" and something more important, with a superb organization both in sports, and personally . We were met at the city and in very few places we've been and remember that even today there are tests that are not received.
But I want to make clear that we had a superb weekend in all aspects, from the hotel to the last detail imaginable, from the time it was good, made the sun and fresh air, very cool, that caught my attention , no pollution

I would like if anyone has thought about doing a marathon, there is one think that if you go once, surely repeat, that is the Marathon Vitoria, at least we certainly repeat next year.
Thanks to the organization, especially Boris, who made this video we can see, Eduardo and Martin, for making it possible participásemos in the test with honors, Aurelio, for introducing us to Boris, and the whole city by show us that "everything is possible."
You are an example, will not change ever ....
